San Diego High School of International Studies
I hope everyone had a restful Superbowl weekend. We have 18 more weeks of school ahead of us and summer is eagerly waiting to greet us.
IMPORTANT UPDATES: There is a new format to skills tests for semester 2 in Algebra and Geometry. Instead of having four skills tests per skill, there will only be two. Every student is required to take both. Also, they will no longer be graded pass/no pass but on a 5 point scale. For more information, please read the revised syllabus [a link is provided in each class' page].
I still have office hours/tutoring every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:30-3:30pm.
I hope that everyone will have a great start to the new semester!
-Ms. J. Ng
Here’s a reminder that the end of first semester is rapidly approaching. Next Friday 2/5 is the end of semester 1.
To accommodate for finals, next Thursday 2/4 and Friday 2/5 will be minimum days, with school ending at 1:19pm. During those two days, the regular Tuesday schedule will be followed.
On those two days, finals for Algebra and Geometry will be given. They will be cumulative finals, testing on topics that we have learned since the beginning of the school year.
Don’t forget that tutoring is still MWTh 2:30-3:30pm [with next Thursday from 1:20-2:20pm]
Study hard and good luck!
-Ms. Ng
I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and had a refreshing start to the new year!
Just a reminder that we are merely 5 weeks away from the end of the first semester. Please make sure that you are on top of your work, come to tutoring if you need help and check Zangle frequently.
Don’t forget: Office and tutoring hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 2:30-3:30pm. [No tutoring on first Monday of every month.]
Again, Happy 2010!
-Ms. Ng
Hi guys,
Please don’t forget that I have office hours/tutoring every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday after school from 2:30pm-3:30pm. Hope to see some of you soon
Also, please note that I will NOT have office hours/tutoring on the very first Monday of every month.
Thanks,
Ms. Ng
I hope everyone had a great summer and is well rested. I can’t wait to hear about all your adventures and experiences.
Hopefully, you are all as excited for the 09-10 school year as I am. Thanks to Prop. S, this summer our district started implementing the i21 initiative to equip classrooms with upgraded technology and 21st century learning environments. Our math classrooms are direct recipients of this wonderful grant. When you step into your math classrooms on Tuesday, you’ll find a Promethean interactive smartboard and surround sound system installed. I’m very excited to learn the plethora of functions this smartboard has and can’t wait to integrate it into our classes.
Please remember classes start at 7:28am this year (yes, 2 minutes earlier than last year) and ends at 2:24pm (1:19pm on Tuesdays). Don’t be late!
See you all very soon.
-Ms. Ng
